i dont have diabetes but my blood sugar is 130 this morning when i got up and have had nothing to eat or to drink but water

My A1c came back this afternoon and it was 6.1.  A tad high with an average of 118 for my glucose.  I need to get it under 6, the report said.

I too am having similar problems.  I am not diabetic YET but the past few basic metabolic tests states my sugar is in the 120 range which is elevated..not bad but elevated.

The other day I went into a Food Chain Market and saw they were giving flu shots.  I got a flu shot and then noticed they do various blood screenings for a small fee.  I saw the A1c test listed and got that.  It was only 30.00.  I will know late today or tomorrow and will post it.  This test will tell what one's sugar has been in the past 3 months like Nebraska stated.  Good Luck!

You might want to go see your dr about getting what is called a A1C hemoglobin.  It tests your bloods sugars over a 3 month period.  130 for a morning blood sugar is not good.  It should be between 70 and 100.  Good Luck!
