You’re speaking in general terms so my comment may not be particularly helpful. My only thought is diabetes may raise the risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. A Google search on diabetes and liver disease or asking your doctor for more information may prove worthwhile.
Diabetes damages nerves and capillaries (the smallest of of blood supply tubes) since EVERYTHING in your body depends on both nerves and blood so does your liver.
