Hello,

Humulin-N actually is usually taken in two doses a day.  Divided between morning and night.  Same as for Novilin.

If you are changing from one insulin to another ask your pharmacist about the dosing, but if you are going from 70 once a day and want to take an equivalent amount, then it would be 35 units twice a day (ie. 12 hours apart).

Please monitor blood sugars carefully when you change your dosing regime to avoid lows, as the blood sugar effects may be different using different insulin.
