sharp electric shock type pain around knee/ calf

Has anyone one else with type 2 diabetes experience this kind of pain? And if so have you seen a Dr. what was the diagnosis?
again, this is sharp electric type pain outside the knee.High on the calf.

I had same problem with pain in left knee.  But it is not from diabetes. I have old knee problem.

I had that on the inside of my knee.... after MANY MDs I finely went to a neurologist and he did a MRI... I have a bad disk in my back.  NOT from diabetes!  diabetes does not cause EVERYTHING
