PreDiabetic and curious

I took my glucose test at around noon, I hadn't had anything to eat since 9 PM last night, but for some reason even without food and without drinks my glucose level was 136. I can't imagine that that's actually normal, is it?

No, that is not normal.  Without eating or drinking for that long your blood sugar should be in the 70 - 90 range.

Please see a doctor for further testing and medications, as appropriate.

Diabetes should be treated appropriately, and as early as possible to prevent complications and delay progression.
