Question on post mean BG number
About This Community:

Question on post mean BG number

Hi,
   For last few days I am eating same dinner.  After the dinner:

- Go for 30 minutes walk
- Check for BG# 1 hour
(around 110 - 140)

- Check for BG# 2 hour
(around 160 - 190)

can someone please explain me why am I getting 2nd hour post mean numbers so high?

I have included Avocado in the dinner. Is that a food that may be causing the problem.

It depends on what you eat.  I think I read somewhere that protein will make sugar peak later.  You have glucose intolerance.  I have the same problem.  The book that Zi'm reading says get on vegan diet w/ no carb limit, and take Omega-3 and L-Carnitine at 5:1 ratio daily.  You'll expect to lose 1lb per week and see dramatic improvements in your #s in about 12 weeks.
