Is an A1c of 5.6% normal? Is it pre-diabetic?

Hi,
An A1C of 5% or less is totally normal. Yours may be considered pre-diabetic but the best way to find out is a fasting blood sugar followed by a 2 hour glucose tolerance test. Ask your doctor to set you up for those in the near future.
