Body Odor

My body odor after exercising smells like sour apple juice.  Is this a sign of ketonosis?

HI,
I really do not know the answer with certainty. Ketones are often described as "sweet" and "fruity."At home the best way is to get some urine dipsticks and check for ketones.

my mother is 76, became very clammy, is always cold and last night felt dizzy and had a sweet smelling body odour not just on the breath. Could this be diabetes?

Hi,
The symptoms you described can be associated with other things besides diabetes(infact only the sweet smell is commonly associated, not the cold feeling or even dizziness necessarily). The best way to know is to have her blood sugars checked by her doctor.
