Help in Tablets

I am a diabetic from last 15 yrs and was on several types of tablets for almost 12yrs. Last three yrs. my Doc. has kept me on the following dose:

1) Losar 50mg once a day in the morning before the first cup of Tea.

2)Rosicon04mg one tablet, Mignar 50mg one tablet, Diamicron MR 60 mg two tablets all these before Breakfast.

3)Glycomet250mg one tablet, Glycomet 01 gms one tablet Neurobion Forte one tablet all these after Breakfast.

4)Rosicon 04mg one tablet and Mignar 50 mg one tablet before dinner.

5)Glycomet250mg one tablet and Glycomet 01 gms one tablet, Phudin Hara one tablet all these after Dinner

6) I also take Superactive one tablet per day.

My average blood sugar levels are  110 to 120 fasting and 104 to 120 post breakfast and some days it has gone to even 140.

My body wt. is between 82 to 85 kgs my ht is 5' 8"

I walk 5km per day average and one hour in the gym daily.

I have heard that there are tablets which could be equivalent to all these but the quantity is less, it becomes cumbersome to carry all the tablets when i am travelling which is often. Pls. Advice.

Hello,
First your blood sugars are excellent and you are doing a fantastic job of getting regular exercise, so you should be congratulated.

It is indeed a pain carrying around multiple tablets. The GlycoMet is one of the few combination tablets on the market. I am not familiar with Mignar.  There are various combinations of diabetes pills, as well as  even some cholesterol/high blood pressure pill combos.  Those pills you mentioned however are not in combination with each other, as far as I know. I admit I am not very familiar with the brand names you cited but tried searching for their generic names online to familiarize myself.  Your best bet really is to speak with your doctor about simplifying your regimen while continuing such excellent control. I am sure if there are ways to simplify, he/she will g that route.
Take care.
