Insulin resistant

Insulin resistant

I was diagnosised with insulin resistance and take 1 Gliburide tablet every morning. I have two questions. 1. I exercise from 1-2 hours a night 5 days a week, doing both cardio for at least 45 mins a night and weights every other day, My cardio varys from running 3 miles to using the precor, biking or stair master. I do have some restictions because I have meneres disease but I do work out hard. Why can I not lose weight? 2. I try hard to watch my diet, but I am allergic to so many foods that is hard for me to  come up with stuff that is healthy to eat. Some of my allergys (allergies) are to dairy, wheat, and  yeast, How do you come up with a good diet if you are allergic to so many different foods?

Hi,
YOu are doing a great job with your exercise regimen, very impressive. The other part to losing weight is often caloric restriction as well as overall healthy eating. have you met with a dietician? I your situation with concern for allergies, the best option is to meet with a registered dietician and come up with a calorie restricted diet that should help you lose some weight. There are usually great dieticians associated with diabetes clinics, so check them out.
Take care.
