i RECENTLY HAD A ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND DONE AND I WAS WONDERING IF THEY ARE PRETTY ACCURATE IN DIAGNOSING ANY ABNORMALITY'S E.G. SOFT TISSUE SARCOMA AND CANCER

It is not clear the reason for your ultrasound. However, the accuracy of many test are dependent on what level of clinical suspicion there is prior to the test. Often a liver ultrasound is sufficient reassurance that there are no abnormalities and therefore no further investigations are required. However, there are also situations where further investigations may be warranted as they may have better diagnostic accuracy when the ultrasound has not given the answer.
