medastium adenopathy in 6 year old??

by hmcurrie, Nov 02, 2008 03:53PM
my daughter had a chest xray that showed a "prominent shadow worrisome for medastium adenopathy" and the radiologist said she needed a ct scan as followup, her pediatrition refuses to order the ct as he feels its unecessary and the xray is normal......what could this be caused by? what diseases or conditions could cause this in a six year old?
