Flushing and abdominal pain are commonly seen in carcinoid syndrome, which is a rare disease. A urine 5-HIAA level should be done to exclude this possibility.
Otherwise, I would also include abdominal imaging with a CT scan and/or ultrasound to examine the liver or gallbladder.
An upper endoscopy can also be performed to look at the upper digestive tract to exclude inflammation or an ulcer.
