Blood loss

Hello Everyone,

Recently I've been losing a lot of blood when I have a bowel movement.  It's been happening in small amounts for the past few months.  The past few days though the bleeding has intensified, leading to pronounced bleeding throughout the bowel movement.  The blood presents as dull-to-bright red and may show some coagulation.  Even when the bowel movement is complete, the bleeding continues while I'm in the voiding position.  It will fill the toilet and turn the water completely red.  It occurs with every bowel movement, with or with out constipation.  I've been checked for hemorrhoids by rectal exam and sigmoidoscopy, but no bleeding hemorrhoids were found.  The use of suppository anti-inflammatories hasn

I have the same exact symptoms. I have had the bleeding now  for 5 years  and  this horrid smell from my stomach to  my mouth for 1 year.
My Hmo Dr, says just to soak for the bleeding and the horrid smell  he says are irritable bowel.
I am going to insist he does something about this.

You should insist on a colonoscopy.  This will check the upper part of your colon.  It sounds like ulcerative colitis.  At least then you can get it treated properly.
