Bowell problems and upper right side pain?

I have had very loose stools for over a year know changing all the time in color alot of the times its yellow i have lost 25 pounds over the year but the weight loss was fast and weight has been stable know for 10 months i have alot of gass bloating have to run to the bathroom everymorning right upon waking have alot of nausea and dull upper right side pain that comes and goes and nero problems hands always falling asleep at night i was a pretty healthy 36 year old male tell last year these are the tests that i have had the first test was just basic labs cbc and liver fuction and my alt was a little hi of 69 then i got tested for hep a-b-c no hep shown on test then got tested for hiv it was neg then threw the year i have had 10 liver fuction tests all always coming back normal but the problem was always there upper right side pain that didnt go away after bowell movment so gi doc did a endo and coloscopy with biopys and a hidascan with cck two ultrasounds of stomach of the liver etc a camera pill all where normal as well had stool studys done all was normal but my 24 hour fecal fat study was a little hi normal was 60 and mine was 69 my gi doc is at the point of no more test for me and dx me with ibs and iam still worried about my liver and fat malabsorption since i did drink beer some what heavy for six years he told me my liver is just fine and they only worry about the fecal fat when its in the tens i just had my labs ran again three days ago everything is fine as far as the liver tests and the lipase test but my white blood cells are always a little hi threw out this hole year iam just thinking my liver is bad and making my problems he will not give me a biopy because of normal labs all the time i havnt drank in 2 years and havnt been able to eat like i use to so iam asking you can ibs make these problems and am i i getting a pretty good dx from my gi doc that this is ibs and nothing more worse i dont think they can do much more tests

You have had a very comprehensive set of tests done.  I probably can't think of any more testing - perhaps except a blood test to rule out celiac disease.

The fecal fat test possibly shows some malabsorption - however your fecal fat tests are borderline.  You can consider either a biopsy or repeating the test.  Another consideration would be empiric treatment of fat malabsorption, which you can discuss with your personal physician.

If the tests remain non-revealing, optimizing treatment for irritable bowel syndrome can be considered.  This can be done by increasing the fiber in the diet or using anti-spasmodic agents.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.
