Can the liver be affected even after gallbladder removal

I had my gallbladder removed because of multiple polyps. Pathology revealed chronic cholycistitis.  No relief from pain.
Right side is affected and radiates to the entire mid section. Worse at night and difficult getting up.  I must sleep elevated.
I have had blood tests on the liver which showed negative.  A cat scan back in March revealed no invasion into the liver.  I cannot work and and desperate to get back to my job.  Any advise is appreciated.

I have been suffering for 2 years.  I had the gallbladder removed
and the pain returned 2 months to the day.  I have had MRI, Endoscope, ERCP, Cat Scan, Ultra Sound.  I went to a pain management clinic and an Osteopath and even tried Acupunture

I've seen the top Gastro Doc at MGH in Boston and no one can diagnose what is wrong with me.  They left me with only one choice exploratory surgery.

Can someone email me what test they can do which will show
what this is.  It's like they never took the damm thing out.

I am reaching the end of the line.  I can't take it anymore.

I haven't slept well for 2 years.  2-4 a day.

I stopped taking all the pain medicine they gave me because it
was just masking the systoms that something is really wrong.

If anyone knows a good doctor in the Boston area that can help me
please email it back to me.

The pain stays in one place right hand side just under the rib cage ( where my gallbladder used to be )

HELP ME
thanks

I had pain for years and years and the doctors were no help.  I got the "run around" and gave up going to the doctors.  I just suffered in silence for many years until I couldn't take it anymore.  Finaly found a new doctor and discovered I have a liver problem.  The only treatment for the liver problem I have is to go on a low fat diet and lose weight.  I cut out all Hydrogenated oil and partially hydrogenated oil from my diet.  It took a few weeks but I started feeling better.  I had blood tests repeated and they came back normal.  I lost 20 pounds very easily by changing only one thing.  Don't eat any hydrogenated oil.  REad package labels.  It is in many many packaged foods.  It is in margarine, shortening, breads, crackers and peanut butter.  Your body can't handle this hydrogenated oil.  We eat a lot of it in our packaged foods and it builds up in your system.  When it gets built up too much then you get the pains.  Get rid of the hydrogenated oil and you will get rid of the pain.
