Chest Pain and Acid??

I've had an undiagnosed problem with my stomach .  A few years ago I experiences sever chest pain on my left side.  I thought I was having a heart attack.  These pains have come back now, that I'm doing worse with my stomach.  The pain is on my right side now, and very acute.  Has anyone experienced this?  I read somewhere that it can be acid spilling into the lungs?  Can anyone help me? Thanks

Wow ! You sound like me.I get the same thing.I have had a heart attack and it feels identical just a severe chest pain.Mine comes and goes and lasts for days with pain but can go for months without any problem. The medicine my doctor gives me is no relief at all.You may want to have a gastrologist take a look around.Mine told me I have a ulcer.(I saw the pic its not pretty)and a Haital Hernia.I quit drinking beer which helped my ulcer. If you find something that stops the pain let me know.

Nanci,
I have gone to countless G.I.'s and am in the process of finding another one.  I have haad many tests, but still no real working diagnosis, just shuffled off to another doc, which is fustrating.  I have ulcer-like symptoms of GERD and I vomit blood, and have it in my stool now, which is why another endoscopy is on its way more then likely a tear in my Es.

I was just wondering what others have done for chest pain, as the medications I'm currently on, don't seem to help.

Can I ask why you don't go to a doctor?  Without testing and a proper diagonsis, it can be any one of a number of things and most likely treatable.
