Color change in stool

Thank you for taking the time to answer this question:

I am a 37yr old female.
I have notice in the past 3days my stool has been green. I have not changed my diet of late.  The only thing I have eaten that was different was chinees rice and noodles that was 5days ago.  It is still green. My last stool was 1/2 green and 1/2 very dark.
Should I be concerned with the changing color of my stool? And what do you think it means?

I think it is very important to see your doctor and get a stool test for the presence of blood in your stool.
Is it very dark, somewhat close to black? if it is, there is a good chance that there is some sort of internal bleeding.
I had a history of duodenal ulcers. I was hospitalize 3 times between the ages of 21 - 30 years old. I am 39 years (male) now and thank god I have been ulcer free for the past 9 years.
One of the major symptoms of my bleeding ulcers was dark stool, which become darker and darker until it was literally black.

Other signs of bleeding stomach ulcers are weekness, tiredness and dizziness. This occurs from the loss of blood, espcially if the dark stool have been present for a period of time (2 days or more).

Just to be safe, see your doctor and get a stool test. It's a very smple test in the doctor's office. It takes about 3 minutes.

If no blood is present then I doubt it's anything to serious.

Take care and let me know how you're doing.
