Diarhea, yellow stools, fresh blood in stools

I have had diarhea for several years.  I live on imodium. I have diarhea every day.   Frequently I have loose yellow mucus stools, they are painful to pass.  I feel like I am passing acid.  Recently I have had a small amount of fresh blood when I wipe. The amount of blood has increased and is visable on the stools that I pass.  When my bowels are moving I can feel them go by a sore spot on the right side of the anal canal.
I am a healthy 38 year old female, over-weight by 50 lbs.  A few years back I had a colonoscopy which return clear.  I don't want to tell my dr and go through alot of embarrasing tests if this is something that I should not worry about.  I had my gall bladder out seven years ago. I need advise, Is this something that happens to others?

YOU MIGHT WANT TO ASK YOUR DR. ABOUT PANCREATITIS.  IT SOUNDS ALOT LIKE THE SYMPTOMS OF PANCREATITIS.  I'VE HAD THIS FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND I KNOW THAT IT IS VERY PAINFUL.  YOU ALWAYS WANT TO FIND OUT THE REASON FOR THE BLOOD IN THE STOOL.  KEEP US INFORMED.

Here are my symptom in a nut shell.  I have constant diarhea.  Sometimes I can't get through a meal and I am looking for a rest room.  I have several bowel movements each day.  Frequently I have yellow mucus stools.  These are very painful, It remeinds me of the yellow stuff that comes out of your stomach when you have the dry heaves. Acid like.  I feel like I have a cut inside my rectum and possibly a small hemmorhiod.  I have blood on the surface of my stools, that is if I pass something somewhat on the solid side.  I have blood on the tiolet paper.  In fact I have had to check to see if I had started my period, because it was that much blood.  This is horribly embarrasing.  I have finally started having severe enought pain that I am going to the dr.  I am living on Lortabs.  I think it is a fissure.  I am not eating anything solid until I go to the dr in 4 days.

I would recommend going back to your dr.  But I do have a question, do you notice that this happens right after eating?  My friend has dumping syndrome and his is alleviated somewhat by drinking a glass of wine a day.  Just a thought.  Would like to hear more about your symptoms.

Best Wishes,
Chaddy
