Esophagitis-Did yours go away?

Has anyone had esohagitis that actually went away? If so, how long was treatment?

I had EXTREMELY severe esophagitis and even a Mallory Weiss tear that caused heavy internal bleeding. That was in January, and since then I have had Nissen Fundoplication and have been on and off of Prevacid. As of one month ago, my esophagitis was gone!!! I'm still having throat problems, but the severe problem is gone!
