Gastritis or Something else?

I am a 40 year old male, for the past 2 months I have had problem after problem.  I had a case of kidney stone/prostatitis trouble which has now disappeared.  I had an IVP which was normal and also spiral abdominal cat scan and pelvic cat scan.  Only showed fatty liver and diverticula.  Showed a calcification unclear possibly near the ureter but could be vascular they said.  THE IVP ruled out stones and was normal.  I recently had a colonoscopy which they said was fine and I could return in 5 years to have another.

My question is my condition started out the end of Feb with a dull ache or soreness around my navel which I still have.  I thought Appendix trouble.  I began to have some diarhea the end of March after taking toradol for pain for the kidney trouble.  I was on Floxin 400 then Switched to Cipro 500 for a week and then Levaquin.  All In all I was on antibiotics from March till May 5th.  One day in April some sharp pains under my left breast that felt like a knife stabbing me and ever since that day I have been belching.  I also have frequent bowel movements sometimes yellow in color. I also have some high back pain and pain that shoots under both arms.  It is spasmatic in nature.  (Gas perhaps??)

Anyway, I am down to my last straw.  I do not know what could be going on with me.  Please someone shed some light. Thank you very much.

I had the same problem after being on tons of antibiotics. It was a bit easier for me/my doctor to figure out what was causing my GI problems because my sntibiotics were prescribed for pneumonia so we knew it wasn't a lingering problem from anything else. My pain was also on the left side and had severe gas. My stools were at first green, but as I got better they turned more golden. I am not an expert so I do not know what else can cause yellow stools, but I would recommend probiotics (good bacteria available from health food shops to replace the digestive bacteria the antibiotics killed) and aloe vera juice (helps with the inflammation of gastritis). I started taking these and the pain eased immensely. All the best, Reb

First off those meds will DESTROY your stomach as well as entire GI track. It will also cause your gastritis to never clear up!!!
How do you know you have gastritis? Did your GI perform an endoscopy and did he rule out H-Pylori bacteria? Gastritis is very painful. I know because I too have it and I bet my life those meds gave it to you. 400mg....WOW. All meds are no good for the stomach. I hope you are no longer taking them EXCEPT for your gastritis? Have you had an endoscopy?
