Grumbling intestines after eating

Does anyone have the same promblem? I have a hard time eating almost anything anymore due to the way the food reacts after eating. My stomach growls so loudedly everyone hears it...It is most embarrassing, not painful but embarrassing. I have loose bowel movements also. Does anyone know what this might be and what I can do to releave it so I can eat like normal people again.

kpat,

I have followed the Fit for Life diet to some extend.  This is not combining carbs with proteins.  You are not cutting anything out of your diet, just combining it differently.

Eg....if you are going to have meat with your meal, don't eat pasa, potatoes etc.  If you are going to have the pasta or potatoes or another carb, don't eat meat.

Veggies all the time.

Your stomach produces acid to break down meat, and alkaline to break down carbs.  Basic chemistry, if you mix these two, they neutralize and cannot properly break down the food.

It takes about 2 weeks to begin feeling a difference, but I found that I had way more energy, and less stomach problems once I started this 'diet'.  I use the term diet very loosly because you aren't cutting anything out, just re-arranging.  If you key in proper food combining on a web search you should be able to get some more information.

Good Luck,

I also have a very loud digestive system.  I've had numerous tests and recently had colonoscopy.  My Dr told me my colon is slightly twisted.  This is not due to an abnormality but is just the way I was born.  The area where I get the loudest sounds is also where he noticed the twist in my colon.  I also have loose stools and have been diagnosed with IBS.  I have found Citrucel in tablet form is helpful.  It seems to slow down my digestive system and also the noise.

Proper food combining will allow your stomach to properly digest what you intake.  This should eliminate gas and gumbling.

Side effects.....more energy and you might lose some weight.

Well I don't think my problem is just wheat it's anything I eat, right after any meal or snack, and I have had many instances where it was so loud I have had to get up and leave also, there must be a reason for this and also a remedy.

My stomach has been really loud for such a long time I can't remember how long.  I gave up wheat and it has completely stopped.  It takes about three days of not eating any wheat or wheat products for you to notice a difference but it may be worth a try.  As soon as I eat wheat now, it starts right back up again.  It is so embarrassing, it's not worth me eating it at all.

Good luck in your search.
