I cant take this bloated feeling anymore

I am a 41 year old male who one year ago had my wisdom teeth extracted. It gave me such problems I was put on several antibiotics, I stopped all drugs in May.  Since the teeth removal, I have had stomach bloating so severe.  I've tried GasX,
mylanta, peptobismal, Alkaseltzer gas relief and then activated charcoal. Nothing helps.  I try not to eat dairy.  My stomach gets so tight I think it's going to explode.  I developed a runny stool but only after taking the charcoal.  I don't have any insurance so I am looking to try to solve my problem without medical treatment if I can.  Any advise?

I wish I could help...I also have the severe bloating which makes it difficult to breathe!  It feels like my stomach is going up in my lungs and I am going to die.
The doctors don't help...they seem to think that I am a bother.
What can we do?

I have Gastroparesis which basically means my stomach doesn't empty like it should so I get pretty bad bloating and other stuff also.  I know in the past coming off of heavy antibotics they suggest yogurt (but that is a dairy product).  It is suppose to help get back the bacteria needed in your stomach that the antibotics may have killed.  But does that solve your problem, probably not.  (Expecially if the dairy product will make you worse).  For me some exercise like walking helps (but when you feel really bad, it's hard to get motivated).  I have also heard people say a warm bath (still goes with how you are feeling).  Hot green tea seems, ginger tea, or chamomile seems to help me.  Also, at the health food store has an organic drinks with carbination that seem to help me well belch which also provides a little relief without any medications.  I don't know if ANY of this helps but I thought I would at least let you know what has helped me.  Good luck to you both!

For bloating, try some enzymes from a health food store. Take one with a meal. Do not overeat or stuff yourself or eat too late such as 7pm.About 8pm, try one Gas-x. This may help. Walk around or ride a bike after eating.

Chicken meals always seem soothing to my stomach.

At nite if I do not do the following and wake up, I take a sip of water, stand up and bend over. Moments later I burp a lot to let the gas out. Sometimes I will do this four times. If I wake up for no appearent reasom, I feel my stomach. If it is distended, I know that I have to burp so I do the above.

   Good luck........... Raccoon

Regarding taking yogurt to replenish bacteria.... the bacteria used in yogurt cultures is acidophilus. Note: Not all yogurts are naturally cultured so you have to check the packaging for this bacteria additive. Alternatively, you can take the bacteria suppliment in a capsule form (without the dairy product). You can get it at a healthfood store. Ask for a pro-biotics product with acidophilus. May also contain bifidus, another friendly bacteria.

My symptoms are similar to everyone who posted a message.  I have
IBS irritated bowel syndrome!  Fiber is important to your diet.
Salads, vegtables, cereal etc.Avoid dairy products, especially
cheese. Lactaid milk seems to be okay for me. Eat small meals or snacks.  Nuts are good snacks,& popcorn (they have fiber).  No "soda".  I use charcoal to help gas occasionally, but it robs your body of nutrition.  You must be cautious when using charcoal, and don't take more than 2 capsules a day. I seem to do well with Phazyme extra strength, taken after eating. Antibiotics are extremely bad for anyone with stomach problems,
"stress" also plays a big part in stomach problems.......but, that is so difficult to avoid. Fatty foods and too much sugar also can make stomach problems worse. as well as red meats.
I feel bad for anyone who can't "burp" it is a terrible feeling,
of fullness and bloating. I don't have that problem!  I burp
constantly!!  Hope I have added some info that might help.

You mention that your problems started after wisdom teeth extractions.  You may want to do some research on cavitations, these are holes that do not heal and can be very toxic.  It sounds weird, but I had a lot of symptoms begin after wisdom teeth extractions, four crowns, and a root canal all within six weeks.  I just went through amalgam removal (all silver fillings) and a detox program.  I am happy to report that many of my symptoms have vanished.  There is a book at Barnes & Noble called Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, and  Environmental Toxins By Alternative Medicine Guide.  You can also check out alternative medicine.com  Good luck and Best wishes
