I got my daughter's diagnosis

She has an intestinal bacteria that has caused her intestines to be raw and inflammed.  It's called Dvsbiosis.  The naturopathic said that she would have to be on antibiotics for 30 days and that usually doesn't work.  The bacteria is extremely hard to get rid of.  She has her on a regimen that alternates each week.  She's off the herbs except for Experience and she will be weened off of that once Psyllium husk does it's thing along with the other things she will be taking.  It is a MUST for anyone that is having digestive problems to have this test done.  The test my daughter had done to get the diagnosis is called CDSA, Comprehensive Digestive Stool Analysis.  The reason this test is such a success is because The Great Smokies Lab culture the entire feces and the test that is run is a very in depth analyst of what is going on in the digestive tract.  If anyone lives in CT and needs an excellent Naturopathic doctor in the Hartford area, please let me know and I will give you her name.

Thank you!  That's exactly the regimen the naturopathic has her on.  She's also taking liquid aloe gel 1oz in water 3x a day, 1 grape seed capsule and some other things.  I don't have the list in front of me. Putting her on antibiotics for a month sounds backwards to me because the use of antibiotics can cause this.   What's essential is you have a naturpathic type of doctor that does kinesiolgy because a supplement that works for one person may not work for another.  She tried 4 different types of the bifu stuff until we found the right one.  The bacteria can be caused from parasites, colon cancer, use of antibiotics, or food allergies.  I'm guessing if my daughter had parasites we killed them off with the Awareness products because parasites came back negative.  They can leave this infection behind.  The next thing we will do is food testing via Kinesiology.  I hope that my daughter isn't gluten intolerant.  She can deal with being lactose intolerant because she had to be off of lactose for the stool analyst test and she found that she likes the soy products more than milk products.  Rice dream milk with vanilla is REALLY good, better than milk.  She also eats soy ice cream.  Now she won't go back to eating lactose.  If anyone does the stool analyst test with the Great Smokies Diagnostic Lab it is important to be ALL supplements for three days prior to taking the test even vitamins  and do not eat bananas.  This test will reveal EVERYTHING about your digestion.  There's no guess work!

Dysbiosis (imbalance of bacteria in the large intestine, etc.) can often be helped with PROBIOTICS, such as Acidophilus &/or Bifidus! These beneficial bacteria can "eat" or compete for the "food supply" with harmful bacteria, and also eat, or compete for food successfully, with harmful yeasts, & the good bacteria can even sometimes get rid of harmful viruses. (This is why folk medicine tells people to put some yogurt onto viral "cold sores").

Antibiotics kill off the good bacteria, in the "gut" (colon/large intestine) so it's good to take PROBIOTICS to put the good (beneficial) protective bacteria back into the large intestine.

Yogurt is good, but if a person has a milk allergy, OR, has an intolerance to milk sugar (lactOse), avoid milk products (or eat lactAse enzymes with the milk product), OR, try a milk-free formulation of the Acidophilus &/or Bifidus.

Psyllium seed fiber helps some, but some people are "sensitive" to it, and get too much gas, etc. from it. For people sensitive to Psyllium, sometimes the gentle fiber called PECTIN, found in carrots, can help.

Good luck to you.

Sorry I spelled it wrong.  It's not dvsbiosis.  The correct spelling is Dysbiosis.  Her symptoms were constipation, abdominal pain, headaches, blocked gas, swelling and mucous in her feces.  Extreme loss of weight, gastric emptying problem, nausea, loss of appetite and feeling like she had the flu.
