Lower Abdominal pain and more... doctors know nothing... help

ok so I was at work and all the sudden sharp gassy pains came out of no where and worsened to the point I was on the bathroom floor ready to vomit from the pain... I had felt them before but never this intense... they were just like traped gas pains I had had before but 500 fold... they subsided a bit that night after some gas was relieved... but gas was reproducing... comming from nowhere... and then the weirdest part... I had a constant dull ache in my lower abdomen along with the now dull gas pains.. the gas is still more than usuall but not much gas pains... but always is the constant dull ache. I went to a doctor paid $80 for the visit I have no insurance... she aplied pressures... cheked my urine for a uti since the dull ache was similar to that I have to pee feeling... but I was clear pluss I wasnt having frequent urination anyway.. she did a pap felt around the pain was equally distributed and found no crazy bacterias as of yet.... so what is it??? she had no clue ... just told me to eat a BRAT diet and hope it passes... well 3 days later the dull ache is still here gets worse at times but isnt carzy pain just a dull scarry ache... i thought IBS but dont really have any bowel iregularity and this dull ache is always there... then I thought it was female... and I talked to my dad who verry oddly since 4 days before me has the exact same symptoms as me... he had a sonogram and has no answers either... it has now been 8 days for him ... long enough for the easy temp answers to pass and still has the dull ach in the lower abdoman like me...what is this ... any help?

I also have experienced lower right abdominal pain and lower right back pain which also extends down my right leg. I have had 2 ultrasounds which were normal 1 catscan that was normal. Blood test came back normal. I am now scheduled for a Lapocposcpy next week but I have my doughts they will find anything if the ultra sounds and Catscans came back normal. I have had these now sharp painful cramps for 3 weeks now and I am also longing for a diagnosis to these syptmoms.I will be glad to reply after the test this wednesday Feb 6th to inform you of anything new to these syptoms otherwise I also await comment. Sorry to hear that I was wrong.  By the way you were talking I thought you and your father lived close by.  I would recommend that you try a different doctor.  If one tells you they can't find anything wrong and you still feel as bad as you say you do, I would get a second opinion.  Best of luck to you and your dad.  Hope you both are feeling better soon.  Merry Christmas!

thanks for your well wishes... unfortunately I havent seen my dad for a month which rules out the ate at the same place food poisining rule... and since he is still feeling symptoms now 8 days after the original symptoms it generally rules out a virius that would pass by now... and we live to far apart to of eaten at the same place :( its just a creepy coincidense.... i was up till 4am because my pains intensify in the lower abdomin at night I went to sleep praying they would be gone by morning... :( they are still here.... I hate to say but my favorite holliday it lost in this stress... I hope I find relief soon.

I'm not sure what might be going on with you.  However, if your dad has the same symptoms, did you eat somewhere together?  You might have food poisoning or a virus.  I don't think I would rule out either of these.  A virus is hard for doctors to diagnos but they should have been able to tell if it was food poisoning.  I hope you and your dad can find the root of the problem.  Take care and hope you have a Happy Holiday Season.
