My Symptoms

Should I be concerned?  I have:

Rectal bleeding, bulky wet floating stools, wet non-formed non-floating stools, sometimes my pills make their way through my system almost intact, sometimes hard stools, sometimes had stools and wet unformed stools in same session, severe cramping, feeling that I need to go after I already went, extreme fatigue(especially towards end of day and end of week), frequency of stool went from about once every day or two to 1 to 6 times per day.

I am a white, 49 year old male.  My parents both had non-colonic cancer.  I have Barrett's esophagus, sleep apnea, high cholesterol, severe headaches, acid reflux, had acute pancreatitis.

51 years old female.  Suffering from post-traumatic fibromyalgia.  Severe GERD.  Have had pain in throat for nearly ten years.  Two surgeries last year:  oopharectomy, removal of gallbladder.  Horrendous heartburn getting worse.  Getting little relief from Pantoloc 2X per day and eating solid food is terribly painful due to its aftermath of heartburn.  In morning, little discomfort until I eat.  It feels as if my insides are turning to mush or as if someone emptied a bottle of champagne in there!

I have the same problems and have found something that helps, although it is tough. Don't get me wrong it dose not cure it. I have been through all the tests; the fun probs, x-rays, blood and stool tests and all the doctors I've gone to have been no help. look up toxicology your problem may be do to not to foods but what is added to it or what it is grown in. you may have an extreemly sensitive stomach like mine. there is no ryme or reason and no medical help that i have found and actually I find that taking medications only makes it worse. I have done a lot of research and if you have symtoms like mine, you know why.

Try for one week eating no perpared foods canned or frozen and don't eat at restuarants. If you find this helps definitally look into toxicology it will help.

toxicology is an actual science and there are many .org and .gov sights it is not a fad. remember doctors are taught 20 yr old medicine and most don't keep up to date. If you know something is wrong and a doctor tells you its all in your head get a new doctor. just my opinion.

Dear White male,
Alterations in bowel pattern (constipation some days, diarrhea on others) is a common complaint that is usually not indicative of serious problems.  the history of rectal bleeding may bethe result of straining at stool (when constipated) but it could also be a sign of colon mucosal disease e.g. inflammation or tumor.  Even if you were asymptomatic, you are at the age when screening for colon cancer is indicated.  Given your symptoms, i think that  discussions with a physician regarding colon evaluation is warranted.

Seeing pill casings in your stool is not that uncommon.
