Pregnancy

I have been told my many people that I should never have children, because I have pancreatitis.  My fiancee and I were talking about having children in the future and I wanted to know if I would be safe for me or my child?  My pancreatitis is hereditary and it is Chronic and also Pancreatic Divisum.  Do you know of many people who have gone through pregnancy and pancreatitis?  Do you think it would be best for someone with my disease to carry at all?  Thank you for your time.

You say you have been told by many people - were they Drs? Perhaps you should make an appointment with a Dr that specializes in high risk pregnancy for his/her opionion. That way your talking to someone who maybe has taken care of patients with the same thing. Don't rule out a pregnancy -  until your talk with a Dr. We on this forum are just people who have our own experiences and really shouldn't diagnose.

I agree.  The best person to ask is a gynecologist.
