Question on Hepatitis

I am 56 years old.  When I was in my mid 20's I contacted hepatitis.  I'm not a drug user, never even smoked.  Was a virgin when I married at 20 so only had one partner.  I remember being sick for about three months and was given an antibiotic.  The only connection that I could make was my wild brother was just getting over hepatitis and I was with him at a family holiday get together in November (I started getting sick in January).   I don't know what type he had but my best guess was it was contacted thru drugs or sex.  Medicine was different 30 years ago and one didn't ask alot of questions.

I've had blood work during the years and my liver counts have always been in the normal range.  Should I be concerned and would anyone know what type of hepatitis I had?

HAVE A COMPLETE HEPATITUS CHECK.  CHECK FOR ANTIBODIES AND THE ANTIGEN.  CHECK FOR A, B AND C.  ANTIBODIES ARE GOOD AND ANTIGEN IS BAD.  DO IT NOW.

If I were you, I'd go to a doctor and ask for a simple blood test for viral hepatitis.

See if you have hepatitis now.

If you had hepatitis A.....it would be gone from your system by now.
If you had Hepatitis B or C.....it could still be with you (silently doing damage).
