Severe Chest Pain Every Morning!

My husband has been having severe chest pain every morning and this morning it was so bad he couldn't sleep anymore and had to get up at 4:40am. He says it hurts especially as he's sitting up and then starts to go away as he is all the way up and moving around. He took two anti-gas pills last night and this morning was his worst morning of all. He also feels like if he could just let out a large belch it would go away but he's tried drinking soda to induce a burp and this only helps slightly. Our diet has fluctuated throughout the two weeks but he still keeps waking up with the pain.  Could this be gas related? He's seeing a doctor this Friday but is just so frustrated with the pain. Anyone else have these symptoms. He does have gas and burping all day and also gets heartburn regularly. Thanks for any help!

Your husband can try a Juice Fast. Please go to a Bookstore and read about juice fasts. Then 1 week later he can try eating only steamed vegetables and grain breads. NO Fats (butter or oil),No sugar, and absolutely No Meats!! These foods combined make it impossible to completely break down in your intestines. I am sure he will feel 100%better! You will see good results. Medicines can only add to his congested organ(possibly his pancreas or his gallbladder)struggle. If he decides to juice, please check out "Juicing for Life". If he is a "meat and potato" sort of guy, he's in for a "rude awakening". Our organs sometimes become congested with impurities. The results are such as you have described. They (organs) need a rest from all the ingested toxins and impurities. You can provide this simply by eating lots of steamed vegtables and grain breads. Some breads taste nutty and some are slightly sweet. I don't know how far along his congested organ has been ignored, but please start off by juicing.

My only suggestion is until he sees the doctor on Friday is to go on an extremely low-fat diet, drink only water and don't eat or drink anything after 7 PM.  It helps me......Feel better

Could be reflux or possibly gallbladder problems. Both will cause pain while laying down.
I had the same problem for years. I always felt full of gas up high in the chest area. Turned out to be my gallbladder.
