Sudden onset of Diarrhea

About 5 days ago I suddenly developed diarrhea, after having struggled with constipation for several years. I have severe pain in my stomach after eating but have no nausea, fever, or anything else. I also have alot of heart burn at this time. Is this something to be concerned about or should I just wait to see if this goes away.
