Upper abdominal pain

Having extreme cramping or jolts of pain on my right side under lower rib cage.Have had upper gi, blood, urine, ultrasound, barium, gamma, ct and colonoscopy. All tests are coming back normal. My gall bladder is slightly working a little less than normal 35% currently working at 30%. But DR. says no "smoking gun". Although during the prep for colono was taking 28 pills of visicol for a good cleaning which seemed to help with the pain.
but the pain is pain 3 days later.

any suggestion before surgery?

Feel lucky that you had the pills to do your prep. I had to drink a gallon (4 liters) of Colyte. I wish my Dr. offered pills. I couldn't finish the whole thing, but I hadn't been eating much anyway so it was enough. Colonoscopy turned out normal. Been having severe diahrrea and rapid weight loss. My pain is in the upper stomach too. Going in next week for upper GI and sonogram of gallbladder. Sounds to me like its your gallbladder--what is your Dr. doing for you? Any meds?

Is it possible you may have pulled an abdominal muscle ? and it's feeling like something more internal ? maybe it's a little more superficial than you think, but then I s'pose if you've had all those tests, they've probably done a physical examination on you too ? to rule that out ? just a thought......I know how frustrating it can be to not know what is happening..
