I would suggest an evaluation of the upper digestive tract.  This should include an upper endoscopy to look for ulcers or obstruction.

If negative, a gastric emptying scan can be considered to evaluate for gastroparesis, or an abdominal ultrasound done to look at the gallbladder.

These options can be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

Hi Johnnie - I lost some 32 lbs in 2 months when I was on FEC chemo for breast cancer. I had to stop methotrexate for Crohn's and could not even eat home made soup, after straining out all the vegetables, without liquid diarrhoea within taking one mouthful. I was faecally incontinent at home and in the street, which was very embarrassing. My Oncologist prescribed a small daily dose of dexamethasone,(a steroid)  but I still could not eat anything. My gastro then prescribed Frutijuice, which had to be delivered by the hospital as unavailable from a pharmacy. It had 300 calories per carton, and I had to drink 3 a day. I didn't eat anything else for 4 sad months.  There were 7 different flavours - all yucky - but it kept me alive. After I finished FEC chemo I went back onto methotrexate - have had some ups and downs in the 3 yrs since bc, now on a new antibiotic co-amoxiclav which has kept the diarrhoea under control and I have actually put on 4 lbs in the last month. Now weigh a respectable 110 lbs, as I am only 5'2" with small bones. I live in England so don't know if this special liquid fruit/vitamin/mineral juice is available where you are, probably the US, but I would enquire of your gastro if there is something similar.
Take care, Liz.
