Here's a site that should help you:

I get a white furry tongue if I am dehydrated. Having a hairy/furry tongue may be unpleasant but it is nothing to worry about.

BobbyDee,
As far as a benighted Englishman can offer information to you medically enlightened Americans, the causes of blood in the bowel can be, if not numerous, then varied. Fresh, bright red blood often indicates haemorrhoids (aka piles) in the anus. They can be external sited or internal. There can also be what is known as a fissure (which I have). Your mother-in-laws polyps are another cause. These are outgrowths of tissue in the colon/rectum. You really should go to a doctor rather than seeking advice 'second-hand' as it were. A doctor can refer you to a specialist. Then at least you will have a professional diagnosis. Haemorrhoids are common and symptomatic of forcing in defecation, often found in pregnancy (not your problem), genetic predisposition(?). Go to a doctor but write down beforehand ALL symptoms so he/she can diagnose with the most clues/facts at hand. try, too, to be calm and not think the worst. You're young so therefore physically resilient.
Best wishes
A friend of mine had thrush of the mouth after taking antibiotics for a period of time, i'll guarantee u it's that.
If you have a white coating on your tongue ,this is probably thrush...look up information on candidiasis.
Hello,
just a thought for you........my mother in law has polyops(sp)? She gets them every now and then.....but when they flare up she fills the toliet with blood and she says its alot.....you might want to have a colonoscopy done just to check.......she gets med and they clear up.......She is in perfect health otherwise...no problems with pain or anything.........just a thought... hope this helps
Look at your other posting--Most people are probibly taking your comment as a JOKE, the way you wrote your question!!!!
no havent taken any med in a long time, i hear that males get a yeast in fection in the mouth but i cant find any info on that ?? so i dont know
you need to see a dr right away if you are bleeding that bad.
Wow, you guys didn't bother to answer my question. I thought this site was for helping people with their Gastro problems. And for the doctors, shame on you.
If your wondering why I posted this question as a reply to someone elses question. Well, all I can say is blame that on the site. I can't even post a question. Everytime I press the "post question" button, it does nothing and downloads a thing called "member login"???.
Are you trying to insult me or something?
Thats funny, the only thing I find as a joke is you. Don't try to flame other people. This is a board for help and information. Nothing should be considered a joke here.
If you don't like it here then please leave. Your kind is not welcomed. So stop trying to put me down and insulting other peoples view.
This site doesn't allow me to post a question so I apologize to the people who want to help but thought I was commenting.
Everyone please give me your input. I'm very worried and scared right now...
The last time I went to the bathroom for number 2 (taking a ****). I noticed that the toilet was filled with blood. Not a lot, I have seen this before but it was very very rarely that I see this. I figured I must have put too much pressure on my buttock's hole and caused it to bleed.
But today, I went to the crapper and the whole toilet was filled with blood. A LOT of blood. More than any of those other times that I've noticed blood. Bright red, almost whole toilet water was diluted in blood.
I am very worried. I am 18 years old Male. I don't have any pains on my body. I don't take any supplements or do drugs or anything. I only drink water, milk and orange juice.
What I really like to know is what the cause is. Can it be caused by eating spicy food? I will take extra precaution if my next visit to the bathroom is the same as today's
Continuing use of certain antibiotics can cause a hairy tongue, have you been taking any antibiotics lately?
