hemangiomas, estrogen, birth control

I was told I have a possible .7 cm hemangioma on my righ lobe
of the liver. I need to follow up in 6 months for another
ultra sound.  Since finding out, I have been afraid to continue
with birth control pills (loestrin) I am 42 and take them
for menstrual pain. My doctor has switched me to progestin
only pills (minipill)
* do I need to worry about estrogen making the tumor grow?
* How do they know it's not cancerous from an u/s
* is this causing my URQ pain and pressure
* my alk phos was low, what does this indicate
thank you
