i vomit in the morning and have pains in my chest - what's up?

i am 21 years old. i've had problems with indigestion since i was seven or so. from about 13 on, i have vomited more than occasionally in the mornings - if i drink too fast, eat too early, or move too quickly. the past week i have had what i take to be heartburn everyday. i do smoke, and i drink a glass of wine about 4 times a week. i drink 2 cups of weak coffee in the morning. i am fairly active and not overweight.  i am a bit lactose intolerant, also. any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks.

Yeah, it may well be acid reflux.  I would quit smoking if I were you, because smoking only makes it worse.

You need to find a good doctor.  Contact the Great Smokies Diagnostic Lab and ask them for a good doctor that works with digestive problems.  The web-site is www.gsdl.com  I don't know if you have insurance or if it will cover this doctor.  My daughter has been diagnosed with a Klebsiella infection and is seeing a Naturopathic doctor that GSDL recommended and she's an excellent doctor, but I have to pay for everything.  I would of lost my daughter "no doubt" if I listened to her pediatrician and the gastroenterologist.  Most doctors, even GI doctors can only figure anatomical things out.  When it comes to psyologically (sp?) diagnosing a patient it just doesn't happen. You could start with a GI doctor and if he doesn't help you then move on with my suggestion.  Good Luck!

Sounds like Reflux.  Symptoms appear like heartburn.  Acidic or spicy foods will increase the burn and may cause the vomiting.  If NOT treated it can cause an ulcerated stomach.  You need a good Gastro Dr.

Theres a lot of things that we could do when we were younger. I used to drink milk like water when I was young. Now I have a glass or two and I know what gave me the blues later on in the day. The lactose intolerant is normal for older people (in my opinion). The heartburn and other GI symptoms should be checked out by a doctor. It's possible that you can control the heartburn-like symptoms. Having it everymorning where you have to thtrow up isn't normal. Better have a doctor tell you whats going on. Hope everything works out.
