Hehe, yeah, sure, my email is ***@****.

Well, I just got back from a 3-day trip at a friends lakehouse and my recent stool was nice and big and normal.  ;p

But it's like, if I'm not worrying about THAT problem, I'm worrying about the big lump in my neck that I've had for months, or the lumps under my arms, or whatever. It's like I just can't win!!!!!! 8\

   Again, thanks!

No antibiotics. Still not really much pain either.

But I called the doctor today and told them about it, and the nurse asked if it hurts. I told her no, except about that little pain under my right ribs. When I told her that she immediatly transfered me to the office assistant to make an appointment and told her to put the reason as describing the pain in my stomach, not the blood/mucus thing. This confused me. I told the assistant, "no, its not the pain, its the blood/mucus" and she said, "well thats what im being told to put".

Perhaps she thinks something bad of this pain? I think she scared me more than helped me, hehe..

Anyways, my appointment isn't until another week or so.  8\

Don't be scared!!  What was it that she said that triggered anxiety??  If they thought it was serious, you would be in that office RIGHT AWAY, or they would be advising you to go to the hospital.  I'm telling you, my doc and a doc at emergency told me that they see this in people in thier late teens and  early twenties all the time.  I know its nerve racking, believe me!!!  If you're worried about not having pain, maybe this will make you feel better.  Your intestines have no nerves in them, they can't feel pain.  Thats why when you get the colonoscopy it doesn't hurt when they take biopsy's.  The fact that its painless doesn't mean cancer.  Don't freak yourself out!!!!!  This is another possibility of what could be going on inside you.  You could very well have large veins or something in your rectum.  A lot of people have this.  Stress highers your blood pressure which can cause them to bleed.  You're not even old enough yet really to even develop a polyp, and polyps are what can eventually lead to cancer.  Even if you did have one, it takes YEARS for it to turn to cancer.  Like i said, the mucus indicates inflamation.  Any inflamation in the colon is going to produce mucus and blood.  It could be from ANYTHING.  Try not to worry.  Are you generally an anxious person???  I am.  I believe i'm dying all the time as well.  I can send you this e-mail my mom sent me, and it kind of makes sense.  Its just about figuring out what negative emotions are going on inside your head that you're not aware of.  You may be feeling a lot of negative emotions, and worrying about illness gives you something concrete to worry about, or worrying about the illness could take your mind off the other things that are bothering you.  Also, you may not realize how anxious you are, and you're just externalizing it with physical symptoms.  This is very commom.  When you get your bowel condition all sorted out, i think you should start looking into some anxiety management of some sort.  I do know how you feel though.  I've been promised by so many people and doctors that i don't have colon cancer, and i'm still afraid that thier all going to be wrong.  Its really scary and hard to live thinking you're ill all the time, especially when you really truely believe you are ill.  I think maybe its just a way of expressing emotional pain.

don't worry, i've still got it too and its been about a month.  Mucus is a sign of inflammation.  Have you gone to your doctors yet??  If you have some kind of colitis or something then the bleeding may occur until you get it looked at.  Have you been on any antibiotics in the past couple of months??  That can cause colitis.  There's a million possibilities.  I just came back from my doc's again today, and she's promising me that i don't have colon cancer.  My doctor told me that she's had a lot of patients my age come in with bloody stool, and its just stress or diet.  I'm trying hard to believe it. My dads friend has had blood in her stool for six months, and there is NOTHING wrong with her, every test is normal.  They told her its just stress, it could possibly be that with you too.  Go to your doc's and fill me in.
