unexplained weight gain

Does anyone know why or have any information/explaintion why some one would gain 20lbs in 2 months. I have been to several doctors and they can not explained why I have gained so much weight so fast. I have not changed my eating and have been evaluated by a nutrionist. I need an explaintion or idea of what I should tell my doctors to continue looking for. My thyroid was normal 2 months ago. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you for your help.

I do not know your sex, but hormones caused me a great deal of extra weight.
