weird 'hunger' pain?

Hello everyone,

Over the last two days I have been feeling a really, really weird pain in my upper abdomen basically in the solar plexus region but a little over to the right side.  The best way to describe it is a feeling like intense hunger (regardless of when or how much I have eaten) that last about 4-5 seconds and then goes away.  It does this a few times an hour.  Does anyone have any idea what this could be?  I have not noticed anything else wrong and have had no signifcant changes in diet.  Any help is very appreciated!
Thanks

I have a similar pain.  Only for me, its like intense hunger and gas.  If I press on or massage my stomach w downwards strokes it seems to pass n a lil while later I need to use the bathroom.  I also get like gurgling bubble sounds in my throat.  Laying on my stomach helps.

It started when I was pregnant 3yrs ago and I indulged myself in eating since I thought it was normal to pregnancy.  Only, I would be hungry right after I ate or 15mins later.  Meat and dairy were the only things that held my hunger at bay.  Still, I only gained 15-20lbs while preggo but since the hunger lasted for 1.5yrs after - I've ended up gaining 20 more lbs.  The only thing that has really helped is drinking aloe vera juice every morn.

I've searched the web for symptoms of ulcers and none have said intense hunger and wanting to binge eat is a symptom but when the pain got really bad nd I thought I had food poisoning - I went to the hospital.  I felt stupid when I described my pain to the nurse but she just shook her head and said, yes that's normal for ulcers!

i definately agree....i was diagnosed with having two stomach ulcers after having that strange intense hunger like pains.  i would definately recommend getting that checked out and dealt with.  ulcers only get worse the longer you let them go.

Sounds like an ulcer to me.  That is what my ulcer felt like.  I would eat and eat and it would still feel like that.  Get your DR to check it out.
