Natural Disaster Planning

I saw this article by the ACS when doing some research...good stuff here.  Although most Americans don't think about it, you should always 'be ready'.  It would be a good idea to talk about this stuff w/your doctor and/or prepare a 'go kit' of supplies in-case you have to evacuate especially if you live near earthquake zones, hurricanes, etc.  You don't want to be thinking about this when you are in a shelter and remember you forgot something!

When I travel I always split up my meds in case of disaster or loss of luggage, etc., so it's a great idea to have a small bag ready to grab 'n go .. not being used to possibiilty of earthquake, while traveling recently, I made sure an important med was in my pocket in case I couldn't get to my bag, etc.
