In some cases one will have a day or several days to prepare for evacuation. This is true in the cases of a known flood coming, for example. You may have to pack personal belongings in boxes. Many boxes. And there is little time. The problem is what is in which box? The first rule is not to have any box weigh more than 35 pounds. The second is to spread out on the floor everything to go in the box along with a sheet of paper with a number. Write that number on the box. Take an image of the stuff and put it in the box. You now can look at the image and by checking the number on the box know the precise contents.
