Highschool Girlfriend broke up with me......

Hi, I have been with my ex-girlfriend for 7 years. back in 2003- june 2010. So we been broken up for the past 5 month and its very hard for me to move on.  It looks like she moved on pretty fast.  Just felt like she never cared about my feelings and how hurtful it was when she broke up with me.  I really thought she would be my one and only.  She basically said that I was her only boyfriend and she doesn't know whats out there for her.  That is the reason why she broke up with me because we have been together since highschool.  I truely loved her with my heart and soul.  She no longer has those feeling towards me.  How can I get through this painful time in my life. Thank you.......

Hi.  I know this is very painful for you, and not to sound cliche, but everything happens for a reason.  The best thing you can do is to stay busy, hang out with friends and do the things you enjoy most.  It's difficult to move on after 7 years, but think about what you want, and deserve in another person.  You want someone who can give her all to you and return the same feelings that you have.  I can promise you that you will love again one day and be so happy, and this is when you will see why this happened.  I know you miss her, she's been a big part of your life, but it will get better....I promise.  You will meet someone else in due time, for now try to stay busy so you have little time to think about her.  She may find that there is nobody better and want to come back, but don't wait around in hopes of this.  Get on with your life, and move forward.  We've all endured broken hearts only to find someone else to love us as we do them.  Stay positive and strong, you have a lot to offer someone, and she will come along.  I do wish you all the best and take care!
