dont know a thing about it my hubby is texting someone all the time, has lost 25 lbs bought new clothes, suddenly caring aout apperance, going out tilll 3 am,,,I want to know how to check his text messages,,dont want to ask my kids do not wish to involve them

what carrier do you have? if you have verizon you can go online and check who he sends messages to and receives from. if you want to actually check them you'd have to get ahold of his phone. for verizon (hubby and i have verizon) you would have to go to menu or messages if he has it set as a main feature. which to do that either hit the button directly below it. if you go through the message feature (it should say message on the cell phone towards the bottom) just hit down till you get to inbox/outbox and you can read them through there. if you go through menu you just have to look through the features till you find message.  

if he's suddenly caring how he looks, loosing weight and staying out......

I am not going to confront him would only lead to denial and an argument,,Im faily certain hes either doing some heavy flirting or seeing someone all the signs are there he hasnt had sex w me in a month,,,now I dont want to last I need is a std from him,,we have done poorly for a few years just biding my time till I finish school, then Im gonna likely get an apartment..

we have nextell..its through his work I am copying tax reciepts, pay check stubs etc and leaving them at my moms,,,just want this for evidence,,MI is a no fault state,,but it wouldnt hurt looking to protect myself and children

i'm not sure how the nextel phones are set up. if you go into the menu option you should be able to find the messaging. on most phones it is displayed by a little envelope.

have you started talking to an attorney yet?

I know that you don't want to involve your kids, but tell someone to send you a text message. Once you receive the text message, tell one of your kids that you don't know how to read it. They will probably show you how to check text messages then. Sorry, but that's the best idea I can come up with.

However, if you know about cell phones, just go onto the menu. Once you are at the main menu, find messages, then once inside messages, go to text messages and read away! Sorry if that was a little confusing, but I hope it helped a little. Good luck!

Nextel and Sprint work the same.  Is your name on the bill?  Do you know his security question or password?  Ok, this is how it works.  Once I called to get my fiance's text message information.  You can't see the actual message but can get the number who he's texting to.  You call in and say, your hubby lost his phone and he had a number in there that he desperately needs.  Just pick a day of the week and say you think he was texting this person on this day.  Ask them to read off the numbers to you and write them down.  Act like you are supposed to be calling for him, don't act shy or like you don't know what you are talking about.  If they sense hesitation they may not give you anything.  However, they aren't really supposed to give out this type of information so try it a couple of times with a couple different customer service reps.  But they may not give you the info so easily.  Have you tried waiting until he is asleep and taking his phone to go through it?  There is a way to see what numbers he's texting.  But of course it depends on what phone.  If he's smart he's deleting them but who knows if he gets text messages in the middle of the night.  Or you can purchase a chip you can install in their phone like a sim card and it is a gps tracker and you can have his text messages pop up on your phone. Just google it.  Or you can do the PI thing and follow him.  But it sounds to me that he's doing something he's not supposed to.  All the signs are pointing that way.  I'm so sorry, I hope for the best for you.

If you go into the main menu, like you were going to select the tool you want, example, camera, pic gallery, you will see either an envelope or depending on how he has his set up, the word messages, text. Click on that. If he has not deleted them, they will be in the order of last recd first. Happy cyberspying!
