why cant i let go....is it love?

this guy was my first and he cheated on me two times i mean we both messed up back and forth. I dumped him after 8 months and i have been trying to get back with him for 6. i cant get over him he leads me on and then i see him talking to nasty girls on myspace. I think about him soo much. how do i moove on? Am i in love?

know that a relationship ending is part of the dating process and that many many relationships will end only for us to move on and find another one.  not saying that you don't hurt and/or really care for/love that other person, just that you realize that you both are not compatible any longer and are willing to take the ending and move on.  

this relationship:
is over and has been over.  you have to move on by finding other things to do to preoccupy your mind, time, and energy until you slowly 'wean' yourself from him and this heartache.  hang out w/ others more, choose a hobby to pursue, or join some social group or charitable group.  also change your number and lose and refuse all contact with him not to give him another opportunity to 'lead you on' as you put it.  good luck

I know what your going through.  Your first is rough and can take a long time to get over.  It will take time but I know personally that even years later I still think about my ex.  Im glad were not togther but I cant forget.  Once you find someone else you care for it will get easier.

It is time to move on now, you say you dumped jom do you really think he is going to come back for good , it is now time to get on with a new life that does not include him. you cant just dump and redump remember he cheated and will do it again, no it is not love, just as teko says it is the thrill of the chase
