10 year old rotty not eating.
I have a 10 year old Male rotty and in the past two days I noticed his hind legs were giving out on him. Then I noticed that my other rotty was eating his food because he was not eating any of it. He has been drinking water and keeping hydrated, but has been eating nothing. This morning he was extremely weak,and I noticed this yellow goo on his lower eye lid. Its not watery and oozing out, its just on there. I just offered him some chicken broth and he has no interest in it. I know he has some arthritis but why the sudden fast down fall. Bone cancer? An infection somewhere? Is he dying? Any help on this would be nice.
Welcome to the forum......It would be impossible for us to diagnose your guy over the internet........What your describing could be from any number of things that only a professional could sort out......Please, get your guy to his Vet for a Senior wellness exam ASAP......A simple blood test and exam will answer the above questions you have........Make the call, tomorrow.....Good luck & let us know what you find out....Karla
