2 year old Shar-pei/Pug mix

My little girl Maddy has been having a tough time of late.  She is about two years old and has been in relatively good health until last Friday night.  She had two seizures (one a full blown Grand Mal) and we took her directly to the Emergencey Vet (which is actually where she had the second seizure).  They ran blood tests and all was normal except lipase levels were high.  They kept her and observed her for 24 hours noting to further seizure activity.  We took her home Saturday night on their advice and she was tired but alright.  Sunday she was in good spirits, a bit tired but playing for short bursts of time and eating, drinking and going out regularly.  Monday morning (today) at about 3 am she got up and started pacing was very restless and wouldnt go back to sleep.  She was shaking noticeably on every inhalation.  This continued until 9am when I brought her to our regular vet.  He is running a bile acid test to check for a shunt and she should be home by 5 o clock today.  I feel so helpless and we really do not have the money to continue test after test.  She has an appointment with a neurological specialist at 10 tomorrow morning.  I was just wondering if anyone had experienced similar symptoms in their pup?  Anyone have an idea what the cause of her shaking might be?  It is worth noting that advantage flea, tick, heartworm was applied an hour before the seizures occurred.  I just want to know if we are doing right by my baby girl, she is so tiny and I just feel terrible that she isn't healthy or happy right now.  HAs anyone had a dog with seizure activity who had no further seizures but was noticeably uncomfortable and shaking a few days later? Please let me know, even a few kind words would help right now. Were having a tough time with this.

I'm sorry that your having such a tough time!
I don't have any ideas, but maybe if you post this in the Ask a Vet forum the vets will be able to help.
