Balding Eskie

I don't know what is wrong with my 10 year old Miniature American Eskimo, she was diagnosed with diabetes and went blind with full cataracts just recently, but shes been on her insulin shots now for a few months and shes doing great but now she seems to be losing all her hair. It's not coming out in large patches like alopecia it's like shes just shedding times a million it's coming out evenly. She's lost so much fur she looks pink because you can see her skin through her hair and her belly is almost totally bald now. And this is a Eskie duel layer extra thick very long haired dog and now my Chihuahua has more fur then my Eskie. Also I live in Northern Canada where the temperature is starting to drop fall is almost here now and sometimes it snows here by September she should be growing a thick coat right now. I've had her since she was a puppy and this is not normal shedding for her.
