This was very informative. Thank you.

Put me back between a rock and a hard place though, concerning my dog, as she has to be on a renal diet, and I opted to stay with the veterinary Prescription food canned and dry. Her kidneys -so far- are responding very well, but I just hope I'm doing the right thing for her nutritionally.
