Blood in Pomeranian Urine

by hubins02, Aug 30, 2007 08:09PM
My dog is a 4 year old Pom, who is having some pink urine along with frequent urination.  My vet said she may just have a bladder infection and put her on some meds.  Has anyone experienced this with their dog and may give me some info.  Vet wanted to run a particular test that cost about $150.00 and I could not afford to do it.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I just spent almost $600 for a bloody urine workup on my dog.

If the antibiotics don't help, you'll have no choice but to go back.  My dog had a UTI, but we had to have xrays to rule out kidney or bladder stones, and a urine culture and sensitivity to be sure he was on the right antibiotic.
