Bump on the Ear

i have a 10 months old malti-shi. About a week ago i noticed this kind of extra meaty bump on his ears. And the hair on that ear looks kind of funny. I was wondering what this might be. Im taking him to vet tomorrow. He eats and drinks fine and is playful as he was before. And it seems that hes not in pain.

First, I thought of a tick.They can look pretty scary when they're feeding and fattening up!  But if you say this has been there about a week or more, that wouldn't figure, because after ticks have fed, they drop off. This takes a day or two.

It might be best to wait and see what the vet says about this tomorrow, because I can't be certain what this is, at a distance, and without seeing the lump.
