Its now offically been a week since the accident and my little baby chi is doing (without jinxing it) really well. I has now got back all the habits he used to have such as biting and tearing my papers :) I'm not mad though just relieved. A week on and the vets are shocked at the amazing improvements he has made. The only thing at the moment is a. his poorly eye which the vet said might not heal and b. one little knock or tap from my other chis will set him back. I keep on praying he recovers well and i have learnt a big lesson. 'You don't know what you have till its nearly taken away from you'. I have turned into a paranoid mess with my little chi's but i suppose that is only natural.
If you go on my profile you can see my little chi's and my little baby Frankie before and after the accident.
Hi
I don't know if you folks already know about this but every Monday night pet owners who have lost a pet or nearly lost a pet light a candle in the pet's honor. If anyone is interested I can try to get the website with all the details.
I'm so glad that Red Arrows and chihuahuagrandma's Chis are doing well. Never had a chi myself but all the Chi owners I know are devoted to them. One of our dogs, a shih tzu, grew up with a Chi and she - the Chi - was picky about her "friends" but her and Rawhide really got along well; in fact, I think they were engaged LOL

God bless him and you! I will say a prayer for continued recovery!

YAY!!!! That's wonderful news.
Please do let us know how he is doing.
Hugs and a scratch behind the ear for the little Chi ....

It's nearly been a week since it happened and he's can now play with his toys. He has a yellow Booha that he used to love and when we first brought him back from the vet,, he didn't recognise it but today he just ran towards it, snatched it off of me and started chewing it :). I am so proud of my little miracle boy. I will post on here to let everyone know how he gets on.
Thanks for you care and support :)
I don't know anything about Aktivait = (
Have never had a chi either BUT it sounds like your "boy" wants to live. He wants to be with his people - you. Being loved and wanted is more important to a dog than most folks think. Dogs who had difficult puppyhoods are often "special". We adopted a lhasa apso who had parvo and nobody expected him to live (he came from a puppy mill and was surrendered when he got sick). My daughter, who works for a vet, spent hours with this puppy and he survived. He knew he was loved and I believe that's what made him hang on. Same with your chi.
Maybe the vet can tell you more about Aktivait.
Please let us know how you and your chi are doing.

I have Chi's, no experience w/ that Aktivait, sorry,,,
I sure hope your little guy will be okay, so sorry for his accident..Chi's are such sweet, soft, big hearted little fellows who when they love you they love you.
I believe thier desire to be w/thier owners is what gives them the drive to stay alive, because of their big hearts..
Good luck and best to you and yours....
